Co-Payment Plus Phase 2: Updated Identity Verification Method via “Pao Tang” App, Await Up to 2,000 Baht

Co-Payment Plus Phase 2 updates the identity verification method via the smartphone app “Pao Tang,” preparing users to register for benefits of up to 2,000 baht throughout the program.

Following the 2026 election, with the Bhumjaithai Party led by Anutin Charnvirakul preparing to form the new government, the Co-Payment Plus and Co-Payment Plus Phase 2 policies have resurfaced in discussion. These flagship policies aim to stimulate the short-term economy and had been pending due to the earlier announcement of parliament dissolution. Recently, Anutin Charnvirakul confirmed that Co-Payment Plus Phase 2 will definitely proceed.

Limited to 10 million entitlements, with 2,000 baht per person.

The Co-Payment Plus Phase 2 program is expected to be divided into two parts as follows.

• The group that has never participated in the program, plus people living in flood-affected areas and provinces bordering Cambodia with ongoing conflicts, totaling 5 million entitlements.
• The group of people who have previously participated in the Co-Payment Plus program, totaling 5 million entitlements.

It is expected that the 10 million entitled participants in Co-Payment Plus Phase 2 will each receive assistance funds totaling 2,000 baht throughout the program.

Participants can spend at participating stores between 06:00 and 23:00 through the G-Wallet in the “Pao Tang” application, without the requirement to spend the full daily limit of 200 baht.

Steps to register for Co-Payment Plus.

1. Download the Pao Tang app and activate G Wallet service.

2. Register to receive benefits from 20 Oct to 26 Oct 2025, between 06:00 and 22:00.

3. Those who participated in Co-Payment Phase 5 (2022) can check registration results via the Pao Tang app.

4. Those who never participated in Co-Payment Phase 5 (2022) can check registration results via SMS and the Pao Tang app.

5. Eligible participants log into the Pao Tang app and click the Co-Payment Plus project banner to start spending from 29 Oct to 31 Dec 2025, between 06:00 and 23:00.

Eligibility criteria for registration.

• Must be a Thai national.
• Must be at least 16 years old on the registration date.
• Must have a national ID card.
• Must not hold a state welfare card according to the Ministry of Finance database as of 1 Oct 2025.
• Must not be suspended from benefits or required to refund money in state projects including Co-Payment Phases 1 through 5.

How to register on the Pao Tang app for first-time users: steps are as follows.

1. Download and install the Pao Tang app.
2. Open the Pao Tang app.
3. Turn off Wi-Fi during registration steps.
4. Consent and confirm acceptance of the terms (KYC Consent) for personal data management.
5. Consent to allow the Pao Tang app to verify the phone number.
6. Start by entering your ID card number and mobile phone number.
7. Wait to receive and enter the OTP sent to the registered mobile number.
8. Enter personal information or choose to identify personal data using the ThaiD app.
9. Prepare to scan your face, moving it inside the circle as per on-screen instructions.
10. Set and confirm a PIN code.
11. Agree to the terms and conditions of using the Pao Tang app.
12. Enter the PIN again to access the Pao Tang app.
13. Consent to personal data management under PDPA.
14. Access the main page of Pao Tang.
15. Pao Tang registration is complete.

Co-Payment Plus identity verification via Krungthai Bank ATM (gray ATM) with buttons below the screen.

1. Select the menu “Transactions with ID card” (no ATM card needed).
2. Choose “Identity verification service.”
3. Press “Acknowledge and Confirm” to verify card ownership.
4. Select “Consent” to disclose information and verify identity.
5. Press the “Next” button.
6. Insert ID card and press “OK.”
7. Wait for information verification.
8. Select “End identity verification transaction,” remove ID card, and continue on the Pao Tang app.

1. Tap the blue bar area on the screen to select service (no ATM card needed).
2. Select “Identity verification / State welfare card.”
3. Choose Krungthai Bank identity verification.
4. Press “Acknowledge and Confirm” to verify card ownership.
5. Select “Consent” to disclose information and verify identity.
6. Insert ID card and press “OK.”
7. Wait for information verification.
8. Select “End identity verification transaction,” remove ID card, and continue on the Pao Tang app.
