Progress on the “Khon La Khrueng Plus Phase 2” project includes updates on how to verify identity through the Paotang app, along with checking the conditions to prepare for receiving the 2,000 baht benefit.

Progress of the project “Khon La Khrueng Plus” Phase 2 latest which had been halted earlier due to the announcement of the dissolution of parliament, shows that the unofficial results of the 2026 election the Bhumjaithai Party led by Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul has become the number one party, bringing the policy “Khon La Khrueng Plus” back into discussion, as it is a popular public policy and a flagship short-term economic stimulus plan. Recently, Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul confirmed that Khon La Khrueng Plus Phase 2 is definitely coming.

Similarly, Mr. Akniti Nitithanprapas, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, revealed progress on the Khon La Khrueng Plus project: the system must be prepared to operate once the official government is formed, then implementation can start immediately. The principle remains 2,000 baht for those outside the tax system and 2,400 baht for those within it. They are also considering whether to distribute funds simultaneously or first to those who missed out in the first round, as well as the Thailand Individual Savings Account (TISA) to encourage savings.

However, looking back at the conditions of the “Khon La Khrueng Plus Phase 2” project, it is limited to 10 million rights, with 2,000 baht per person. Those eligible are divided into two groups as follows:

• The group that has never participated in the program and people in flood-affected areas and provinces bordering Cambodia with conflicts, totaling 5 million rights.
• For people who have participated in the “Khon La Khrueng Plus” program before, also 5 million rights.

It is expected that the 10 million eligible participants in “Khon La Khrueng Plus Phase 2” will receive a total assistance amount of 2,000 baht each throughout the project.

Spending can be made at participating stores between 6:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m. via G-Wallet in the “Paotang” app, with no requirement to spend the full 200 baht daily limit.

Reviewing the registration steps for “Khon La Khrueng Plus”

1. Download the Paotang app and activate the G Wallet service.

2. Register for the benefit between 20 October and 26 October 2025, from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

3. Those who participated in Khon La Khrueng Phase 5 (2022) can check registration results via the Paotang app.

4. Those who did not participate in Khon La Khrueng Phase 5 (2022) can check registration results via SMS and the Paotang app.

5. Eligible individuals can open the Paotang app and tap the Khon La Khrueng Plus banner to start spending from 29 October to 31 December 2025, between 6:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m.

Eligibility criteria for registration

• Must be a Thai national.
• Must be at least 16 years old on the registration date.
• Must have a national ID card.
• Must not hold a state welfare card according to the Ministry of Finance database as of 1 October 2025.
• Must not have had rights suspended or been required to refund money in state projects, including Khon La Khrueng phases 1 through 5.

Registration process via Paotang app for first-time users is as follows:

1. Download and install the Paotang app.

2. Open the Paotang app.

3. During registration, disable Wi-Fi.

4. Agree and confirm the terms (KYC Consent) for personal data management.

5. Consent to allow the Paotang app to verify your phone number.

6. Begin by entering your national ID number and mobile phone number.

7. Wait for and enter the OTP sent to the registered mobile number.

8. Enter personal information or use the ThaiD app to fill in personal details.

9. Prepare to scan your face, moving it within the circle as guided.

10. Set and confirm a PIN code.

11. Accept the terms and conditions of the Paotang app usage.

12. Re-enter the PIN to access the Paotang app.

13. Give consent for personal data management under PDPA.

14. Access the main Paotang app screen.

15. Registration on Paotang is complete.

1. Select the menu “Transaction with ID Card” (no ATM card needed).

2. Choose “Identity Verification Service.”

3. Press “Acknowledge and Confirm” to verify card ownership.

4. Select “Consent” to disclose information and verify identity.

5. Press “Next.”

6. Insert your ID card and press “OK.”

7. Wait for data verification.

8. Choose “End identity verification transaction,” retrieve your ID card, and continue on the Paotang app.

2. Select “Identity Verification / State Welfare Card.”

3. Choose Krungthai Bank identity verification.

6. Insert your ID card and press “OK.”

7. Wait for data verification.

8. Choose “End identity verification transaction,” retrieve your ID card, and continue on the Paotang app.
