The Phu Thai Mor Lam troupe revealed that thieves disguised as fans broke into the backstage area, stealing money and valuables from the artists. Two suspects were apprehended and reported to authorities for full legal action.
A reporter stated that the Facebook page "Phu Thai Mor Lam Troupe" posted a statement regarding a theft behind the stage. It said that on 15 February 2026, around 5:00 a.m., during a performance interval at Ban Thung Lui Lai,subdistrictThung Lui Lai, Khon San District, Chaiyaphum Province, a group of four individuals pretending to be fans sneaked intotheartists' rest tents, committing theft against the artists.artists'victims included Phra Ek Naru Pongsaran (who had two iPhones, CHANEL perfume, and cash stolen), Mark Wangsin (the group leader, who lost two flower bouquets
andcash), Praewdao, a Phu Thai artist (cash), Kaew Nattakan (flower bouquet and cash), and Art Arinchai (cash). The stolen items included cash, mobile phones, and flower bouquets.The recovered phones were damaged, as the thieves destroyed evidence while being pursued. Some cash was found in the suspects' possession.
After the incident, the troupe reported the crime to local police and managed to arrest two suspects along with the evidence. The other two suspects currently lack sufficient evidence for prosecution. The two arrested admitted guilt and involved their guardians to acknowledge the charges and proceeded with compensation to the victims according to
legalprocedures. The offense falls underthe category oftheft and property damage, which are criminal offenses under the Penal Code. The Phu Thai Mor Lam troupe will pursue legal action to the fullest extent to protect the rights and safety of all artists and staff.Furthermore, the troupe will strengthen security measures backstage and around the artists' tents.
