On 18 Feb 2026 GMT+7, the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM) prepared to transfer the fourth round of flood relief payments for victims of the 2025 rainy season floods. This follows a Cabinet resolution to compensate those affected by floods occurring from 15 May 2025 onward, in two cases:
1. Households with permanent residences in flooded areas where water remained for no more than 7 days, with damaged property.
2. Households with permanent residences flooded for more than 7 days. Assistance is provided at the same rate of 9,000 baht per household, with stepped support based on flood duration, covering 45 provinces and 142,113 households.
Mr. Theerapat Kachamat, Director-General of the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation, revealed that today (18 Feb), the Cabinet approved additional flood relief payments totaling 2,203,445,900 baht to assist 243,557 households that have not yet received aid. The Election Commission has reviewed and endorsed this decision.
The DDPM and Government Savings Bank, as implementing agencies, will transfer aid payments to 142,113 households in 45 provinces that have not yet received assistance, totaling 1,361,200,000 baht. These transfers will be made through PromptPay accounts linked to citizens’ ID card numbers, with transfers occurring between 12:00 and 15:00 today.
Previously, the Cabinet approved three rounds of flood relief payments covering 72 provinces, totaling 20,394,635,100 baht, assisting 2,239,993 households.
Citizens are urged to follow updates and verify their relief payment status according to their eligibility.
