It stated that, following information circulated on social media about some associations ceasing operations—some of which may be linked to BAAC customers causing widespread concern—the BAAC would like to clarify as follows.
1. The “Customer Funeral Mutual Aid Association of BAAC” is a legal entity formed by a group of BAAC customer members to mutually assist each other under the Funeral Mutual Aid Act B.E. 2545 (2002) by managing funerals and providing support to members’ families, without the intention of profit or income distribution.
2. BAAC, acting as advisor to the Customer Funeral Mutual Aid Associations, has investigated the facts regarding reports of some associations ceasing operations and found that the “Customer Funeral Mutual Aid Association of BAAC” remains strong and continues to operate normally.
3. BAAC recognizes the concerns of customers who may be members of these associations and is ready to provide advice and consider appropriate support measures. BAAC also requests cooperation from members and related parties to communicate accurate information to reduce anxiety and prevent misunderstandings in society.
4. BAAC continues to support the operations of funeral mutual aid associations involving BAAC customers to maintain operational standards, efficiency, and transparency, prioritizing the benefits of farmers and customers.
