Following previous nationwide Registrar announcements on the use of letter prefixes and registration numbers for personal passenger cars with up to seven seats registered in Bangkok, issued on 17 Mar 2025, 30 Mar 2025, 8 Jul 2022, 7 Oct 2022, 13 Jan 2023, 29 Jun 2023, 16 Nov 2023, 20 May 2024, 7 Aug 2024, 27 Nov 2024, 12 Mar 2025, and 9 Jun 2025.
Since the public and the Road Safety Fund Office proposed additional letters, words, or phrases to be used as letter prefixes beyond those specified in the aforementioned announcements, and the Subcommittee on Letter Prefixes for Special Vehicle Plates for personal passenger cars with up to seven seats, at its 3/2568 meeting on 12 Nov 2025 GMT+7, considered and approved adding 44 new prefixes.
Therefore, to ensure the orderly addition of letter prefixes for special vehicle license plates, under the authority of Clause 3 (1) (2) (b) of the Ministerial Regulation on the size, characteristics, and colors of license plates and the display of license plates and annual tax payment marks B.E. 2554 (2011), as amended by the third amendment in B.E. 2564 (2021), and Clause 6 of the Department of Land Transport's announcement on criteria, methods, timing, and conditions for auctioning registration numbers for special license plates for personal passenger cars with up to seven seats B.E. 2568 (2025), the nationwide Registrars hereby add the letter prefixes listed in the annex as the official letter prefixes for special license plates for personal passenger cars with up to seven seats.
