Latest registration for Khon La Khrueng Plus Phase 2: Updated identity verification method via the "Pao Tang" app in preparation to receive 2,000 baht benefits.

According to the unofficial results of the 2026 election, the "Bhumjaithai Party" led by Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul emerged as the top party, bringing renewed attention to the policy "Khon La Khrueng Plus" and "Khon La Khrueng Plus Phase 2" which had been stalled after the announcement of the dissolution of parliament. Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul has signaled positively, confirming that Khon La Khrueng Plus Phase 2 will definitely proceed.

When will "Khon La Khrueng Plus Phase 2" start?

Earlier, Mr. Aeknithi Nitithanprapas, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, revealed progress on the Khon La Khrueng Plus project, saying the system must be prepared to operate immediately once the government is official.

The program maintains the original principle of 2,000 baht for those outside the tax system and 2,400 baht for those within it. Considerations include whether to distribute funds simultaneously or prioritize those left out in the first round, and promoting personal savings accounts (Thailand Individual Savings Account: TISA) to encourage saving.

Reviewing the conditions of "Khon La Khrueng Plus Phase 2"

Looking back at the conditions of the "Khon La Khrueng Plus Phase 2" program, it limits 10 million rights holders to receive 2,000 baht each, divided into two groups as follows:

• One group includes those who have never participated in the program and residents in flood-affected areas and provinces along the border with Cambodia, totaling 5 million rights.
• The other 5 million rights are for those who have previously participated in the "Khon La Khrueng Plus" program.

It is expected that the 10 million eligible participants in the "Khon La Khrueng Plus Phase 2" program will receive 2,000 baht each throughout the project period.

Participants can spend at participating stores between 06:00 and 23:00 via G-Wallet in the "Pao Tang" app without the need to use the full 200 baht daily allowance.

Steps to register for "Khon La Khrueng Plus"

1. Download the "Pao Tang" app and activate G-Wallet service.

2. Register for the benefit between 20 October and 26 October 2025 GMT+7, from 06:00 to 22:00.

3. Those who participated in Khon La Khrueng Phase 5 (2022) should check registration results via the "Pao Tang" app.

4. Those who have never joined Khon La Khrueng Phase 5 (2022) should check registration results via SMS and the "Pao Tang" app.

5. Eligible participants should open the "Pao Tang" app and tap the Khon La Khrueng Plus banner to start spending between 29 October and 31 December 2025 GMT+7, from 06:00 to 23:00.

Eligibility criteria for registration

• Must be a Thai national.
• Must be at least 16 years old on the registration date.
• Must have a national ID card.
• Must not hold a state welfare card according to the Ministry of Finance database as of 1 October 2025 GMT+7.
• Must not have had rights suspended or been required to repay funds in state programs including Khon La Khrueng phases 1 through 5.

Registration steps for those who have never used the "Pao Tang" app before are as follows:

1. Download and install the "Pao Tang" app.

2. Open the "Pao Tang" app.

3. During registration, turn off Wi-Fi.

4. Agree and confirm acceptance of the terms (KYC Consent) regarding personal data management.

5. Consent to the "Pao Tang" app checking your phone number.

6. Begin by entering your national ID number and mobile phone number.

7. Wait for and enter the OTP sent to your registered mobile number.

8. Enter personal details or use the "ThaiD" app to autofill personal information.

9. Prepare to scan your face, moving it within the circle as directed.

10. Set and confirm your PIN code.

11. Accept the terms and conditions of the "Pao Tang" app.

12. Enter your PIN again to access the "Pao Tang" app.

13. Consent to personal data management under the PDPA.

14. Arrive at the main screen of the "Pao Tang" app.

15. Registration of "Pao Tang" is complete.

1. Select "Transactions with ID card" (no ATM card needed).

2. Select "Identity verification service."

3. Press "Acknowledge and certify" to confirm ownership of the ID card.

4. Select "Consent" to disclose information and verify identity.

5. Press the "Next" button.

6. Insert your ID card and press "OK."

7. Wait for data verification.

8. Select "End identity verification transaction," take your ID card, and continue on the "Pao Tang" app.

1. Tap the blue bar on the screen to select service (no ATM card needed).

2. Select "Identity verification / State welfare card."

3. Choose Krungthai Bank identity verification.

4. Press "Acknowledge and certify" to confirm ownership of the ID card.

5. Select "Consent" to disclose information and verify identity.

6. Insert your ID card and press "OK."

7. Wait for data verification.

8. Select "End identity verification transaction," take your ID card, and continue on the "Pao Tang" app.
