He was eventually arrested, sentenced to death, but served 14 years and 4 months before being released in 2016.
After release, he focused on social work, becoming chairman of the Nuanjit community, gaining many acquaintances, and earning the nickname “Bang Mad, the Generous Gangster.” However, in 2024, he was arrested again by the DE special operations unit under a court warrant amid an ongoing investigation into dismantling a major online gambling network with a 4 billion baht turnover.
His arrest sparked controversy following a public confrontation with former intelligence police officer Santha Prayoonrat in April 2025.
