Final Day of Phaitudomsuksa Schools Permanent Closure as Students Tearfully Say Goodbye to Friends

On the farewell day, students, teachers, and parents tearfully participated in the closing event of Phaitudomsuksa School, which has ceased operations after 55 years.

A reporter stated that in December 2025, Phaitudomsuksa School, a well-known private school, sent a letter to parents announcing the suspension of classes and the closure of the school after more than 55 years. The reasons cited included demographic changes with fewer births and financial instability. The school coordinated with nearby schools to accommodate students for continuing their education. However, some parents demanded a review of the decision, as they had already paid tuition fees and the closure disrupted their children's schooling mid-term.

Subsequently, on 7 January 2026, the school posted on Facebook that it would continue to operate for the 2026 academic year only, accepting a limited number of students to maintain quality individual care. The tuition fee for the 2026 academic year was set at 182,000 baht, as previously reported.

Most recently, on 27 February 2026, Phaitudomsuksa School livestreamed its farewell event. Parents confirmed that the school would hold classes for the final day today, as it is closing permanently.

On social media, many parents and students posted photos from the farewell event with captions such as: "Only memories remain as the 55-year legendary Phaitudomsuksa School closes," "The last day of classes at Phaitudomsuksa School after one year here; today we say goodbye to the school, friends, and all teachers," and "Final day of the last class after 55 years," among others.
