Dr. Khongkwan Reveals Two Main Reasons for Resigning from the Medical Council, Emphasizes It Was Not a Suspension or Revocation (Video)

Dr. Khongkwan clarified two main reasons for resigning from the Medical Council, returning her medical license, and ending her role as a physician. She emphasized that she resigned voluntarily and was neither suspended nor had her license revoked in any way.

At 10:00 a.m. on 27 Feb 2026, reports indicated that Dr. Khongkwan Fujitiniran , known as "Dr. Khongkwan" traveled to the Medical Council at the Ministry of Public Health to submit her resignation as a member of the Medical Council and to return her medical practice license, as previously announced on her Facebook page.Doctorkatekateon 26 Feb 2026.

At this time, Dr. Khongkwan revealed the reasons for her decision to resign from the Medical Council, stating that the main reasons were: 1. Disagreement with the governance, rule-making, and interpretation by “discretion,” and the unfairness within the Medical Council.

2. Not wanting to be silenced or restricted by what she described as a "collar and muzzle" called the Medical Council anymore, concerning rights and freedom in professional practice. If one does not identify as a medical professional, doctors are just Thai citizens with equal basic rights under the law.

Can doctors speak about health products? Can they criticize politics opposing the powers in the Medical Council? What is a doctor's ethics?

For doctors, the most important is “medical ethics.” But if “ethics” are interpreted and decided by the “discretion” of a few who monopolize absolute power, deciding life and death by something unmeasurable, not based on what you do but on “whose side you are on,” it mirrors many so-called independent organizations that can override the public’s voice, such as the Election Commission and the Office of the Auditor General. This is a distorted system, which also occurs in the Medical Council.

In every movement, every criticism, every fight against injustice, the louder our voices, the stronger the impact. I have fought since the COVID vaccine era and know well the experience of standing against those in power in this country. If you fight, you might have a chance, but in this country, the right thing doesn’t always win. Even winning every administrative court case does not guarantee victory; it often results in increased scrutiny and targeting. The powerful hold the rules; fighting is like grasping at air. The road ahead is long. I wish luck to doctors still in the system. After 20 years as a doctor and 5-6 years fighting this flawed system, I’m done. When you disagree with the system, you must resist peacefully and remove yourself. Today is like returning a driver's license, but driving skills remain forever. Being a doctor is just a profession, but the knowledge and skills stay for life.

If you have legal issues, you consult a lawyer; building a house, you consult an engineer. Every profession has its specialty. For matters of the body, medicine, vitamins, minerals, supplements, medical procedures, and equipment, doctors know best but are not allowed to speak—they are accused of violating ethics more severely than causing patient death, corruption in procurement, receiving kickbacks for prescriptions, private hospitals overcharging, patient molestation, or performing surgeries off-hours for personal gain, even in medical schools—because it depends on “whose side you are on.”

Doctors are forbidden to discuss medicine or supplements. So who is allowed to speak? Online sellers? Influencers? How can accurate information reach the public? Why can sellers say anything, no matter how exaggerated? Fake doctors selling illegal injectable drugs are everywhere, but knowledgeable doctors are silenced by “ethics” and “discretion.”

Given this context, I choose to change my role as a doctor—from treating patients at the bedside to preserving correct information for society. I will use all my knowledge and skills to provide all kinds of information to everyone without any gag or blindfold.

I reiterate, I resigned voluntarily; I was not suspended or had my license revoked before resigning.

During my 20 years as a doctor, I have never been complained against or disciplined for treatment side effects even once. In all the strange cases during the COVID era, I won every lawsuit against the Medical Council in administrative court. However, this only worsened the situation—suppressing, lowering, and intimidating me. But that’s enough. From now on, I will give my all. Stay tuned.

From now on, I accept endorsements. Contact me as Dr. Khongkwan. I cannot inject, pierce, or operate, but I can provide knowledge, host shows, advertise medicines and health products, and own a clinic under FDA regulations—without the “collar” called the Medical Council.

If the system is distorted, you have two choices:

1. Fix it.

2. Leave it.

If the system fails, you have two choices.

Fix it or leave it.

From now on, call me Dr. Khongkwan, an influencer who graduated from medical school 20 years ago, formerly a doctor but the first doctor to return her medical license.

Thank you for reading to the end.
