On 5 March 2026, a Facebook postby Bangkok Metropolitan Administrationwarned about heatstroke, noting the intense heat and urging people to take care of their health on 5-6 March 2026, with temperatures reaching 34-38 degrees Celsius.

If experiencing symptoms such as headache, dizziness, faintness, muscle pain, extreme fatigue leading to unconsciousness, rapid breathing, fast heartbeat, dry skin without sweating, move to a shaded, well-ventilated area, remove excess clothing to cool down, apply cold wet cloths or ice packs to the neck, armpits, groin, and forehead.
Use a fan to help dissipate heat. If symptoms worsen, seek immediate hospital care. For emergencies, call 1669.

Prevention methods

  • Avoid prolonged outdoor activities.
  • Drink 2 to 3 liters of water daily to compensate for fluid loss.
  • Wear light-colored, breathable clothing.
  • Avoid consuming alcoholic beverages.
