OBEC Inspects Triam Udom 2026 Exam Venue Emphasizing Transparency with a 1:9.14 Competition Ratio

OBEC inspects the exam venue for the 'Triam Udom 2026' examination at Muang Thong Thani, emphasizing transparency and revealing registration statistics for Grade 10 admissions to Triam Udom Suksa School this year, admitting 1,520 students with a competition ratio of 1:9.14; results to be announced on 17 March

On 7 March 2026, Mr. Pichet Pho-phakdee, Secretary-General of the Office of the Basic Education Commission (OBEC), accompanied by Mr. Wisanu Sapsombat, Deputy Secretary-General of OBEC, and their team, visited the exam venue for Grade 10 admissions to Triam Udom Suksa School at IMPACT Challenger Halls 2–3, Muang Thong Thani.

Triam Udom Suksa School is conducting the Grade 10 entrance exam for the 2026 academic year. This year, there are 13,895 candidates from all regions across the country competing for 1,520 seats, resulting in an overall competition ratio of 1:9.14, divided into eight study tracks as follows:

1. Science-Mathematics track: 1,000 seats, 10,220 applicants

2. Language-Mathematics track: 120 seats, 1,245 applicants

3. Language-French track: 80 seats, 431 applicants

4. Language-German track: 80 seats, 387 applicants

5. Language-Japanese track: 80 seats, 466 applicants

6. Language-Chinese track: 80 seats, 668 applicants

7. Language-Spanish track: 40 seats, 228 applicants

8. Language-Korean track: 40 seats, 250 applicants

Mr. Pichet Pho-phakdee, Secretary-General of OBEC, said that upon inspecting the exam venue today, the overall exam administration was orderly, with well-organized management of the location at Muang Thong Thani to facilitate students and parents. He emphasized transparency and accountability, highlighting that Professor Dr. Narumon Pinyosinwat, Minister of Education, prioritizes and insists on transparent examination procedures to ensure fairness and equality for all students.

"I assure all parents and students that OBEC has sufficient educational opportunities for every child, in line with OBEC's policy, which focuses on equitable access and maintaining educational standards to nurture youth with both knowledge and virtue for the future,"the Secretary-General of OBEC stated.

Triam Udom Suksa School will announce the exam results by 17 March 2026. Students who do not succeed in this round can apply for the Grade 10 selection exams in regular classrooms at schools nationwide.
