“Co-Payment Plus Phase 2” program Latest update on registration timeline and identity verification via the “Pao Tang” application Receive 2,000 - 2,400 baht; when will the program start?
After a seminar with 192 MPs of the Bhumjaithai Party, the party's executive committee presented a list of suitable candidates for ministerial posts to the party leader, Anutin Charnvirakul. The list included more names than available ministerial seats for selection and was sent to the Secretariat of the Cabinet for vetting by nine agencies.
Certainly, people will await the prime ministerial vote, then the prime minister will appoint a new Cabinet, submit ministerial names for royal approval, followed by oath-taking and policy presentation to parliament. Once the new government presents its policies, the second Anutin Cabinet will begin executing its promised flagship policies, including the "Co-Payment Plus Phase 2" program, which had been delayed due to the dissolution of parliament.
Based on the government formation timeline after the 8 Feb election, Anutin Charnvirakul’s schedule is projected as follows:
In simple terms, those awaiting the “Co-Payment Plus Phase 2” funds may begin spending in May to June or thereafter.
Previously, Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Aeknithi Nitithanprapas stated that the system must be ready to operate as soon as the official government is in place to proceed immediately.
The program will maintain its original principle: 2,000 baht for those not in the tax system and 2,400 baht for those within it. Consideration will be given to whether to distribute funds simultaneously or prioritize those missed in the first round, alongside the Thailand Individual Savings Account (TISA) to promote savings, among other measures.
Reviewing the conditions of “Co-Payment Plus Phase 2,” it limits 10 million rights holders, each receiving 2,000 baht, divided into two groups as follows:
