
Progress on the “Co-Payment Plus Phase 2” project includes updates on registration methods via the Pao Tang app, with identity verification required to receive spending funds through the co-payment program throughout its duration.
The movement of the “Co-Payment Phase 2” project has attracted much attention and eager anticipation as it is expected to once again stimulate Thailand's economy in the short term, following its great success in the previous round. Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul has confirmed that Co-Payment Plus Phase 2 will definitely proceed.
Meanwhile, Mr. Akniti Nitithanprapas, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, revealed that the Co-Payment Plus system must be prepared for immediate operation once the official government is formed. The support amount remains 2,000 baht for those outside the tax system and 2,400 baht for those within it. Consideration is also being given to whether to distribute funds simultaneously or first to those missed in the previous round, as well as personal savings accounts (Thailand Individual Savings Account: TISA) to encourage saving.
For the registration conditions of the previous “Co-Payment” program, the eligibility criteria for receiving funds were as follows.
1. Must be a Thai national.
2. Must be at least 16 years old on the registration date.
3. Must possess a national ID card.
4. Must not be a State Welfare Card holder according to the Ministry of Finance database as of 1 October 2025 GMT+7.
5. Must not have had rights suspended or funds reclaimed in government projects, including (1) Co-Payment Phase 1, (2) Phase 2, (3) Phase 3, (4) Phase 4, and (5) Phase 5.
This group includes individuals who filed personal income tax returns using forms Por Ngor Dor 90 for general income, Por Ngor Dor 91 for income from employment under Section 40(1) of the Revenue Code, or Por Ngor Dor 95 for those eligible for personal income tax reductions for the 2024 tax year, according to the Revenue Department database as of 30 June 2025 GMT+7.
This group comprises individuals who did not file the aforementioned personal income tax returns.
Registration for Co-Payment Plus through the Pao Tang app is divided into two groups: those who have never received co-payment rights and those who have previously received them, with the following steps.
For those who have "never" received co-payment rights in Phase 5 (2022)
1. Update the Pao Tang app to the latest version and activate G Wallet.
2. Open the Pao Tang app and tap the “Co-Payment Plus Project” banner.
3. Accept the terms and conditions and confirm registration.
4. Registration results will be notified via the Pao Tang app and SMS within 3 days.
5. Top up G Wallet before starting to use the benefits.
For those who have "previously" received co-payment rights in Phase 5 (2022)
1. Update the Pao Tang app to the latest version and activate G Wallet.
2. Open the Pao Tang app and tap the “Co-Payment Plus Project” banner.
3. Accept the terms and conditions and confirm registration.
4. Registration results will be notified via the Pao Tang app notification.
5. Top up G Wallet before starting to use the benefits.
For identity verification using a Krungthai NEXT account
1. Log into Krungthai NEXT.
2. Enter your Krungthai NEXT PIN.
3. Tap the proceed button within the Pao Tang app.
4. Enter the OTP sent to the phone number linked to Krungthai NEXT.
5. Set a new PIN.
6. Confirm the new PIN.
Applicants must use the Krungthai NEXT account with the same national ID number registered in the Pao Tang app.
For identity verification by facial scanning
1. Prepare to scan your face.
2. Scan your face (this step can be skipped if the phone lacks a camera or it is broken).
3. Set a new PIN.
4. Confirm the new PIN.
5. Enable facial scan or fingerprint scan system.
6. Accept the Pao Tang app’s terms of use (applicants must accept).
7. A screen will appear showing consent requests that the user has not previously answered (users may choose to consent or not).
8. While the system verifies user information, a message saying “Verifying information” will appear on the card.
9. Upon successful registration, the Wallet card will be displayed as shown, enabling service subscription.
