Anticipation Builds for Khon La Khrueng Plus Phase 2 Use in May Timeline and Registration Conditions Revealed

Eligible participants in the "Khon La Khrueng Plus Phase 2" program may be able to use the benefits in May. The latest timeline and registration conditions are reviewed, highlighting who qualifies to receive 2,000 baht or 2,400 baht.

Following the scheduled state ceremony to open the parliamentary session on 14 Mar 2026, the parliament will convene on 15 Mar 2026 to elect the Speaker of the House of Representatives and the Deputy Speakers, as previously reported.

According to the government formation timeline, “Anutin Charnvirakul” The post-election schedule after 8 Feb is anticipated as follows:

  • 8 Feb: General election for Members of Parliament (MPs).
  • By 9 Apr: The Election Commission certifies 95% of MPs.
  • 10–16 Apr: Newly elected MPs report for duty.
  • By mid-March 2026, within 15 days after the Election Commission certifies 95% of MPs and sufficient MPs have reported, the Prime Minister will formally request the King to open the parliamentary session. The next day, parliament will convene to elect the Speaker and the first and second Deputy Speakers.
  • Late March to early April 2026: Vote to elect the Prime Minister.
  • April 2026: The Prime Minister appoints the new Cabinet, submits ministerial names to the King, then the Cabinet takes the oath and presents the policy agenda to parliament.
  • Mid-April to May 2026: The new government presents its policy to parliament. The second Anutin Cabinet begins its duties.

In summary, after the new government presents its policy to parliament and the second Anutin Cabinet starts, various policies promoted during the election campaign, possibly including "Khon La Khrueng Plus Phase 2," originally expected to start after June, might begin earlier.

Registration conditions for “Khon La Khrueng Plus Phase 2” revealed.

For the previous "Khon La Khrueng" registration, the conditions and qualifications for applicants included the following:

1. Must be a Thai national.

2. Must be at least 16 years old on the registration date.

3. Must possess a national identification card.

4. Must not be a welfare cardholder according to the Ministry of Finance database as of 1 Oct 2025.

5. Must not have been suspended or have repayment obligations in state programs including: (1) Khon La Khrueng Phase 1 (2) Phase 2 (3) Phase 3 (4) Phase 4 and (5) Phase 5.

  • Khon La Khrueng Plus Phase 2: Group eligible for 2,400 baht. 

This includes individuals who filed a personal income tax return under the general income category (Form PND 90), those with income from employment under Section 40(1) of the Revenue Code (Form PND 91), or those eligible for personal income tax reduction (Form PND 95) for the 2024 tax year, according to the Revenue Department database as of 30 June 2025.

  • Khon La Khrueng Plus Phase 2: Group eligible for 2,000 baht. 

This group includes individuals who did not file the personal income tax returns mentioned above.
