OR CEO Assures No Oil Shortage Despite Increased Demand Causing Occasional Transport Delays

Mom Luang Peektong Thongyai, CEO of OR (PTT Oil and Retail Business Public Company Limited), confirms that there is definitely no oil shortage. However, increased demand has caused transport delays at some gas stations during certain times.


On 15 Mar 2026 GMT+7, Mom Luang Peektong Thongyai, CEO of PTT Oil and Retail Business Public Company Limited, stated that due to the ongoing unrest in the Middle East, OR is closely monitoring the situation. The company is making every effort to provide nationwide service through pipelines, ships, trucks, trains, as well as over 2,400 storage facilities and service stations across the country. He assured everyone there will be sufficient oil supply.

However, because of the significant increase in oil demand recently, some service stations may face difficulties selling certain products at times, as they await deliveries from OR's storage facilities. Nevertheless, he reaffirmed there is no oil shortage. OR is working hard to manage the situation and minimize any impact.

He thanked everyone for their understanding and assured that OR will continue to closely monitor the situation.
