
Update "Khon La Khrueng Plus Phase 2" Registration method via the app "Pao Tang" Identity verification and preparation to receive spending funds of 2,000 and 2,400 baht through Khon La Khrueng
Project progress "Khon La Khrueng Phase 2" is highly anticipated by many as it returns to play a role in stimulating Thailand’s economy again in the short term, following great success in the previous round. Meanwhile, “Anutin Charnvirakul” has confirmed that Khon La Khrueng Plus Phase 2 will definitely happen.
Meanwhile, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Ekniti Nitithanprapas, revealed that the Khon La Khrueng Plus project must have its system ready for operation, and once the government is officially formed, it can proceed immediately. The original principles remain: 2,000 baht for those outside the tax system and 2,400 baht for those within the tax system. They are also considering whether to distribute funds simultaneously or first to those missed in the first round, and promoting Thailand Individual Savings Account (TISA) to encourage savings.
Regarding registration conditions, the "Khon La Khrueng" program in the previous phase set the eligibility criteria as follows:
The group eligible for 2,400 baht
includes individuals who filed personal income tax returns for general income earners (Form Por Ngor Dor 90), wage earners under Section 40(1) of the Revenue Code (Form Por Ngor Dor 91), or those eligible for reduced personal income tax rates (Form Por Ngor Dor 95) for the 2024 tax year, based on the Revenue Department database as of 30 June 2025 GMT+7.
The group eligible for 2,000 baht
includes individuals who did not file the above personal income tax returns.
Registration via the Pao Tang app is divided into two groups: those who have never received Khon La Khrueng benefits and those who have. The steps are as follows:
For those who "have never" received benefits from Khon La Khrueng Phase 5 (2022)
1. Update the Pao Tang app to the latest version and activate G Wallet.
2. Open the Pao Tang app and tap the banner "Khon La Khrueng Plus Project."
3. Accept the terms and conditions and confirm registration.
4. Receive registration result notifications via the Pao Tang app and SMS (within 3 days).
5. Top up G Wallet before starting to use the benefits.
For those who "have" received benefits from Khon La Khrueng Phase 5 (2022)
1. Update the Pao Tang app to the latest version and activate G Wallet.
2. Open the Pao Tang app and tap the banner "Khon La Khrueng Plus Project."
3. Accept the terms and conditions and confirm registration.
4. Receive registration result notifications via the Pao Tang app.
5. Top up G Wallet before starting to use the benefits.
For identity verification via Krungthai NEXT account
1. Log into Krungthai NEXT.
2. Enter your Krungthai NEXT PIN.
3. Press the proceed button on the Pao Tang app.
4. Enter the OTP sent to the phone number linked to Krungthai NEXT.
5. Set your PIN code.
6. Confirm the PIN code.
Applicants must use a Krungthai NEXT account with the same national ID number as in the Pao Tang app.
For identity verification via facial scanning
1. Prepare to scan your face.
2. Scan your face (this step can be skipped if the phone has no camera or it is broken).
3. Set your PIN code.
4. Confirm the PIN code.
5. Enable face or fingerprint scanning features.
6. Accept the Pao Tang app terms of use (mandatory for service applicants).
7. Display consent screens only for the consents not previously answered (users can give or deny consent).
8. During user data verification, a message "Verifying information" appears on the card.
9. Upon successful registration, a Wallet card as shown will display to allow service subscription.
