"Chulabhorn Hospital, Royal Chulabhorn College" announces adjustments to dispensing medications and medical supplies for outpatients of all insurance types due to unrest in the Middle East region
On 20 Mar 2026 GMT+7, the Facebook pageof Chulabhorn Hospital, Royal Chulabhorn College,posted an announcement stating that due to the unrest in the Middle East, to prepare for efficient resource management and ensure patients receive necessary medical supplies adequately and continuously, temporary preventive measures for medical services will be implemented as follows:
1. Medication dispensing for outpatients of all insurance types will be limited to a maximum of one month per dispensing. If the patient’s next appointment exceeds the medication period, they can schedule a refill through the telemedicine service, choosing to receive medication by mail or collect it in person at the medication dispensing points on the first floor of both buildings.
2. Dispensing of medical supplies for outpatients of all insurance types will be limited to a maximum of two weeks per dispensing. If the patient’s appointment is scheduled beyond this period, the hospital will issue a "medical supplies refill form," allowing the patient to receive the remaining supplies by mail or in person at the medication dispensing points on the first floor of both buildings.
3. Medication and medical supplies dispensing for inpatients discharged to home care of all insurance types will be limited to 1–2 weeks per dispensing. For patients with follow-up appointments beyond this period, the hospital will issue "medication and medical supplies refill forms" as per points 1 and 2.
4. The hospital supports telemedicine services to provide convenience, reduce patient expenses, and minimize travel. Patients can inquire about services at the clinics or centers where they receive care.
