On 23 March 2026, escalating tensions caused a severe sharp decline in "gold prices." Normally viewed as a safe-haven asset that investors flock to during geopolitical crises, today the global gold price (Gold Spot) fell, causing the Thai gold price at market open to drop over 1,800 baht per baht of gold.
Most recently, reporters have noted that the Gold Traders Association reported price adjustments "of gold prices" today from market open until 13:15, with prices adjusting up and down 37 times. The 96.5% purity gold bar price is 67,200 baht for buying and 67,400 baht for selling. The 96.5% purity ornament gold price is 65,855.04 baht for buying and 68,200 baht for selling.
