Buriram Energy Office Clarifies: Unlimited Fuel Filling Is Not True, Local Stations Still Limit Amounts

The Buriram Provincial Energy Office clarified that fuel stations still limit the amount of fuel dispensed, emphasizing that reports of unlimited fuel filling are untrue.

Buriram – Recently, social media circulated rumors that fuel stations in Buriram province are offering unlimited fuel filling to the public, allowing customers to fill fuel without any restrictions.

Regarding this matter, on 23 Mar 2026 GMT+7, the Buriram Provincial Energy Office issued a statement clarifying that this information is false. Currently, fuel stations in the area continue to enforce limits on fuel quantities to ensure adequate and equitable distribution for all.

Mr. Prasopchok Wannakao, acting Buriram Provincial Energy Officer, explained that in managing services for the public, some stations have adjusted their fuel limits to better match the current situation and the actual needs of customers, setting guidelines as follows.

  • For four-wheel vehicles, the previous limit of 500 baht has been increased to a maximum of 1,000 baht.

  • For six-wheel vehicles, the previous limit of 1,000 baht has been raised to a maximum of 1,500 baht.

However, the specific service limits remain subject to the management policies of each individual fuel station in the area.

The Buriram Provincial Energy Office confirmed that Buriram province continues to follow the same measures as other provinces, setting limits on fuel filling amounts. These measures aim to ensure sufficient fuel supply for all sectors of the population and to prevent hoarding or shortages locally. They urged the public not to panic and to closely follow official information to receive accurate facts.
