Progress on the Co-Payment Plus Phase 2 program is becoming clearer after Mr. Akniti Nitithanprapas Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, said at a seminar, “Regarding Co-Payment Plus, many have said the short-term plan is to develop a new Plus feature that enables participating shops to press a button to analyze sales data, revealing the best selling times and customer groups. Proper cost management alone is beneficial. We've also discussed with the Thai Bankers Association about analyzing income and expenses to enable easy loan access, avoiding informal debts, and helping sellers improve skills. On the buyer side, AI will analyze purchases to promote spending knowledge,” as previously reported.

"Co-Payment Phase 2" registration date?

According to the government formation timeline, Anutin Charnvirakul following the 8 February election, the forecast is as follows:

• 19 March 2026: Prime Minister vote. If approved, proceed with royal appointment, followed by cabinet formation and qualification checks, taking about 3 weeks.
• April: Government policy drafting and parliamentary policy statement.
• After Songkran, the new government will proceed, and the program "Co-Payment Plus Phase 2" is expected to start immediately.

Conditions for "Co-Payment Plus Phase 2"

The program limits 10 million rights, offering 2,000 baht per person. Eligible recipients are divided into two groups:

• Those who have never participated, and people in flood-affected areas and provinces bordering Cambodia, totaling 5 million rights.
• For those who previously joined "Co-Payment Plus," another 5 million rights are allocated.

It is expected that these 10 million eligible participants will receive a total assistance amount of 2,000 baht each throughout the program.

Eligibility criteria for "Co-Payment Plus" registration

• Must be a Thai national.
• Be at least 16 years old on the registration date.
• Possess a national ID card.
• Not be a recipient of the state welfare card program according to the Ministry of Finance database as of 1 October 2025.
• Not have had rights suspended or been required to return funds in state programs including Co-Payment phases 1 through 5.

• Download the Paotang app and activate the G Wallet service.
• Register for the benefit on the date set by the government between 06:00 and 22:00.

For verification using a Krungthai NEXT account

1. Log into Krungthai NEXT.

2. Enter your Krungthai NEXT PIN code.

3. Tap the proceed button in the Paotang app.

4. Enter the OTP sent to the phone number linked to Krungthai NEXT.

5. Set a PIN code.

6. Confirm the PIN code.

Applicants must use a Krungthai NEXT account with the same national ID number as in the Paotang app.

For verification by facial scan

1. Prepare to scan your face.

2. Scan your face (can skip if your phone lacks a camera or it is damaged).

3. Set a PIN code.

4. Confirm the PIN code.

5. Enable facial or fingerprint scan login.
