On 25 March 2026, Mr. Somchai Morakotsriwan, Director-General of the Department of Employment, announced that the department is recruiting job seekers to work in Singapore with the employer KoK Tong Earthworks & Engineering Pte Ltd. There are four positions available with 180 vacancies: Supervisor, Drilling Machine Operator, Auto Mechanic, and Machinery Mechanic.
Salaries depend on ability and experience, starting from 884 to 1,300 Singapore dollars (approximately 21,702 to 31,915 baht) up to 1,000 to 1,500 Singapore dollars (approximately 24,550 to 36,825 baht), depending on exchange rates. Contracts last one year, with an eight-hour workday. Overtime is paid at 1.5 times, weekends at double pay. Free accommodation is provided. The employer will cover the return airfare upon contract completion. Workers receive legally mandated insurance coverage and free training, including skills upgrading as required by Singapore's Ministry of Manpower.

Mr. Somchai stated that the job positions and required qualifications include prior work experience in the applied position. The details for all four positions are as follows:
1. Supervisor position There are 20 openings for males up to 40 years old with lower secondary education. Applicants must have at least five years of work experience and be capable of leading planning, communication, and problem-solving effectively.
2. Drilling Machine Operator position There are 100 openings for males up to 40 years old with primary education. Applicants must have at least three years of work experience operating drilling machines.
3. Auto Mechanic position There are 30 openings for males up to 45 years old with lower secondary education. Applicants must have at least six years of work experience, basic skills in mechanics and repairs, engine overhauls, knowledge of specialized tools, and strong diagnostic skills.
4. Machinery Mechanic position There are 30 openings for males up to 45 years old with lower secondary education. Applicants must have at least six years of experience specializing in machinery repair and maintenance.
“This recruitment is organized by the Department of Employment to send workers abroad. Job seekers do not have to pay any application or service fees. Those selected only pay necessary expenses such as photo fees, passport fees (if they do not yet have one), health checks, criminal record checks, airfare, and registration fees for the fund supporting overseas workers, totaling approximately 8,650 baht,” Mr. Somchai said.
