State Welfare Card Benefits for April 2026

"Comptroller General's Department" updates "State Welfare" or "State Welfare Card" / "Poor People's Card" In April 2026, eligible recipients can use their smart ID cards to access benefits and check exactly what they will receive.


Mr. Thanachok Rungthipanon, Deputy Director-General of the Comptroller General's Department and spokesperson, stated that under the 2022 State Welfare registration project, eligible individuals can use their smart ID cards. For April 2026, the benefits are as follows:

On 1 April 2026, recipients will receive allowances for purchasing consumer goods and transportation (these cannot be withdrawn as cash or carried over to the next month), including:

  • A 300 baht monthly allowance per person for purchasing goods.
  • An 80 baht discount allowance per person for liquefied petroleum gas purchases for three months (April - June 2026).
  • A 750 baht monthly transportation allowance per person for public transport, including intercity buses, trains, Bangkok Mass Transit Authority buses, electric trains, and participating private bus services.

On 20 April 2026,

  • an additional disability allowance of 200 baht per month will be provided.

This applies to eligible persons with disabilities holding a disability ID card and currently receiving an 800 baht monthly disability allowance (funds will be transferred to the bank account linked to their 13-digit national ID via PromptPay, or to their or their authorized representative's bank account used for receiving the 800 baht disability allowance).

Most recently, on 26 March 2026, Mr. Lawaron Saengsanit, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Finance, revealed that the Cabinet approved urgent relief measures proposed by the Ministry of Finance to benefit the public. In summary, there are seven key measures, one of which focuses on assisting vulnerable groups.

Regarding support for vulnerable groups through the "State Welfare Card," the Cabinet approved an increase of 100 baht in the monthly allowance for purchasing consumer goods, raising it from 300 baht to 400 baht per person.
