
"Army" Invites Thai men to undergo selection and volunteer as "Active Duty Soldiers" Between 1-12 April 2026
FacebookArmy Spokesperson TeamPosted a message stating that from 1-12 April, the Army invites Thai men to willingly undergo selection and volunteer as active duty soldiers, with the right to choose their desired unit for service.
The Army invites Thai men who have reached the age of 21, born in 2005, and those aged 22 to 29, born between 1997 and 2004, who have not yet undergone selection or those who underwent selection last year but whose selection process was not completed in any case, to participate in the conscription selection to serve as active duty soldiers from 1-12 April 2026, excluding 6 April (Chakri Day). The Army has established coordination commands for selection at all levels—from Army Headquarters, regional armies to military circles—to provide advice and resolve any issues during selection. Additionally, a special 'Fast Lane' has been opened for patients, disabled persons, volunteers, and deferred cases to facilitate convenience and reduce congestion on selection days.
Volunteers who enlist as active duty soldiers on selection day have the right to express their preference for units, including choosing their department and service batch. They also have the right to reduced service duration if they hold educational qualifications from high school (Matthayom 6) or equivalent and above, or have completed the first and second years of the military studies student course.
