High Fuel Costs Prompt 3 Major Carriers KEX, J&T Express, and Flash Express to Raise Shipping Fees by 3 Baht per Item

Three major delivery companies—KEX, J&T Express, and Flash Express—have announced a simultaneous increase of 3 baht per item in shipping fees, effective from April 1, 2026, due to continuously rising oil prices.

Thai consumers continue to face ongoing price increases for consumer goods, a consequence of the fuel energy crisis marked by high costs and potential shortages amid prolonged conflict in the Middle East region.

Regarding this matter, on March 31, 2026, reporters reported that three leading delivery operators announced a 3-baht per item shipping fee increase effective April 1, 2026, following sustained rises in oil prices. KEX stated that recent oil price volatility and increases have directly impacted transportation costs. To maintain its service standards consistently,

the company finds it necessary to charge an additional fuel surcharge of 3 baht per item, effective April 1, 2026. The company acknowledges and understands the potential impact on business operations and customer expenses. Should oil prices return to normal levels, the company will promptly consider reducing or removing the surcharge as appropriate to the situation.

Similarly, J&T Thailand also announced a shipping fee increase, stating that J&T Express would raise service rates by 3 baht starting April 1, 2026. This price adjustment aims to offset rising operational costs and to maintain continuous quality service standards. The company expressed gratitude for customers’ trust and ongoing support.

Meanwhile, Flash Express declared that due to the continuous rise in market oil prices significantly affecting the company’s transportation operating costs, it is necessary to increase shipping fees by 3 baht across all service channels, effective April 1, 2026.
