
State welfare cardholders, known as 'poor card' holders, will receive an additional 100 baht aid on Songkran, 13 April 2026. The benefit is accessible through the smart national ID card.
Regarding the 2022 state welfare registration project, eligible persons can use their rights via the smart national ID card. In April 2026, the benefits include the following.
- A 300 baht monthly credit per person for purchasing goods,
- An 80 baht discount credit for liquefied petroleum gas every three months per person (April - June 2026),
- A 750 baht monthly transportation credit per person for public transport systems including the State Railway, the Bangkok Mass Transit Authority, the BTS, and participating private buses.
- A monthly disability allowance top-up of 200 baht will be provided.
For eligible disabled persons holding a disability ID card and receiving an 800 baht monthly disability allowance (transferred to the bank account linked to their 13-digit national ID via PromptPay, or to their or their authorized representative's bank account used for receiving the 800 baht allowance).
Recently, Mr. Lawaron Saengsanit, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Finance, revealed that on 11 April the Ministry will propose to the Cabinet a one-month 100 baht top-up for 13.3 million state welfare cardholders, costing 1.3 billion baht. If approved, the Ministry will credit the money to cardholders immediately on 13 April.
Regarding transport sector assistance, especially for truck drivers affected by rising fuel prices, the Ministry of Transport will compile data for support, with an estimated budget of about 1.6 billion baht.
