Which days are expressways toll-free during Songkran 2026? The Expressway Authority of Thailand waives tolls on Burapha Withi and Kanchanaphisek routes starting April 10.
The Expressway Authority of Thailand (EXAT), under the Ministry of Transport, is waiving tolls during the Songkran festival as part of the “Smart Travel Songkran 2026: No Matter When You Leave, You Arrive Home the Same” policy. This aims to facilitate travel and reduce expenses for the public during the 2026 Songkran festival, supporting smooth, fast, and safe journeys.
The toll waivers follow policies set by the government and Ministry of Transport and are reflected in the amended concession contracts among EXAT, Bangkok Expressway and Metro Public Company Limited (BEM), and North Bangkok Expressway Company Limited (NECL). This aims to ease traffic congestion at toll booths and help people travel back to their hometowns and tour conveniently during the long holiday.
EXAT urges expressway users to plan their trips in advance, strictly obey traffic rules, and check their vehicles to ensure safety during travel. For more information, contact EXAT Call Center at 1543, available 24 hours.
