
Registration for relief measures "Transport operators" and "Public buses" from 16-19 Apr 2026 to receive assistance via PromptPay
Progress update "Transport relief measures" After the Cabinet meeting approved relief measures for transport operators and public buses on 11 Apr 2026, as proposed by the Ministry of Transport through the Department of Land Transport, to alleviate the impact of the energy crisis affecting the cost of living widely.
By Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport, stated that the main goal of this measure is not only to keep operators financially afloat so they can continue service but ultimately to protect the public by ensuring fares do not increase. The Ministry of Transport has categorized the support into two main groups for comprehensive coverage and maximum benefit as follows.
1. Group of public buses and hired vehicles using fuel (travel cost support measures)
The government will help subsidize costs for over 180,332 vehicles to keep operators viable and maintain current fare prices for the public. Covered vehicle types include:
2. Group of cargo trucks (measures to stabilize prices of consumer goods) to break the cost cycle preventing transport costs from being passed on to market prices.
Additionally, the Ministry of Transport will help ease transport costs for more than 287,175 trucks, divided as follows:

The Department of Land Transport will issue announcements on criteria and conditions for eligible recipients to verify and register.
