Kaeng Krachan National Park has announced a temporary closure of the Ban Krang camping area after experiencing drought conditions that have caused a shortage of water supply.
On 14 April 2026, it was reported thatKaeng Krachan National Parkhas declared a temporary closure of the Ban Krang camping area.
This follows reports from the Ban Krang Unit 4 park rangers of Kaeng Krachan National Park about drought problems that have reduced the water stored for tourist use, resulting in insufficient water availability for activities and recreation.
After consideration, Kaeng Krachan National Park decided to temporarily close the Ban Krang camping area from 14 April 2026 onwards to lessen the impact on visitors and help mitigate the drought situation. The closure will remain until conditions return to normal, with further public announcements to follow.
