Conditions and Registration Method for Public Transport Operators to Receive Fuel Subsidies via PromptPay

The conditions for public transport operators eligible to receive fuel subsidies require registration through the “DLT PromptSupport” system starting 16 April 2026, with fuel subsidies paid via PromptPay.

Following an announcement from the Department of Land Transport (DLT)DLTregarding measures to assist transportation groups using fuel to alleviate the impact of rising oil prices due to the Middle East conflict, covering scheduled buses, non-scheduled buses, taxis, public motorcycles, and non-scheduled cargo vehicles.

Conditions for registering to receive fuel subsidies for transport groups using fuel

The eligibility period for fuel subsidy assistance begins on 20 April 2026 and ends on 31 May 2026 (42 days). Recipients must provide public transport services during this period. Subsidies will be paid after the assistance period ends and after DLT verifies all required documents and compliance. Eligible recipients are divided into three groups as follows.

Conditions for receiving fuel subsidies: Public bus group

1. Scheduled buses on category 1 routes within Bangkok and adjacent provinces (minibuses and vans) receive a flat subsidy of 5,040 baht per vehicle, requiring at least 2,500 kilometers of transport distance recorded by the DLT GPS system during the 42-day assistance period.

2. Scheduled buses on category 4 routes within Bangkok (minibuses, vans, and songthaews) receive a flat subsidy of 5,040 baht per vehicle, with transport distance monitored by the DLT GPS system or the DLT GPS-NOTICE appDLTthroughout the 42-day assistance period, requiring at least 2,500 kilometers.

3. Scheduled buses on category 2 routes (minibuses and vans) receive assistance based on transport distance recorded by the DLT GPS system at 2 baht per kilometer, capped at 700 baht per day per vehicle.
4. Scheduled buses on category 3 routes (minibuses and vans) receive assistance based on transport distance recorded by the DLT GPS system at 2 baht per kilometer, capped at 500 baht per day per vehicle.

5. Non-scheduled buses receive flat subsidies: 5,000 baht per bus and 3,600 baht per minibus or van.

For vehicles used for tourism or general contract transport, the transport distance must be at least 2,500 kilometers over the 42-day period per DLT GPS data. For vehicles used to transport employees, the required distance is at least 1,500 kilometers during the assistance period.

Conditions for receiving fuel subsidies: Non-scheduled cargo trucks

The non-scheduled cargo truck group eligible for fuel subsidies is divided as follows:

1. Trucks with 10 or more wheels receive a flat subsidy of 6,000 baht per vehicle, requiring at least 4,000 kilometers of transport distance recorded by the DLT GPS system over 42 days.

2. Trucks with fewer than 10 wheels receive a flat subsidy of 3,000 baht per vehicle, requiring at least 2,500 kilometers recorded via the DLT GPS-NOTICE app over 42 days.

Conditions for receiving fuel subsidies: Hired vehicles (taxis and public motorcycles)

The hired vehicle group receiving fuel subsidies is divided as follows:

1. Taxis receive a flat subsidy of 5,040 baht per vehicle. They must install and keep active the DLT GPS-NOTICE app throughout the hiring period and cover at least 2,500 kilometers over the 42-day assistance period.

2. Public motorcycles receive a flat subsidy of 840 baht per vehicle.

How to register to receive fuel subsidies for public transport vehicles

  • Applicants wishing to receive the subsidy can fill out their information via the “DLT Prompt Supportsystem on the websitehttps://tss.dlt.go.th/available 24 hours, following these steps:

1. Visit the websitehttps://tss.dlt.go.th/

2. Click to register for the subsidy

3. Log in with Thai ID

4. Scan the QR Code and provide consent

5. Select your type of transport business

6. Prepare documents such as a copy of your ID card (applicant), public driver’s license, taxi driver ID (yellow card), company registration certificate (not older than 90 days), transport operation license, public motorcycle driver license, etc.

7. Then click to register

8. Fill in personal information, payment account details, upload supporting documents, and so on.

9. Review and submit the documents.

  • Alternatively, applicants can visit in person at Building 3, 1st floor,DLTor any provincial transport office nationwide. Registration is open from 16 April 08:30 until 19 April 2026, 16:30.

Receiving subsidies via PromptPay system

Applicants must provide bank account details registered with PromptPay, using their 13-digit citizen ID number (for individuals) or tax ID number (for legal entities), along with supporting documents such as transport operation licenses, company registration certificates, and proof of passenger transport contracts.

The subsidy period and the transport distance calculation cover from 20 April to 31 May 2026 (42 days).
