However, the above prices are average prices excluding local maintenance tax, which may vary by region.
The Ministry of Energy reports the energy situation in Thailand and abroad, including oil reserve volumes and diesel sales. As of 16 April 2026, domestic oil reserves are sufficient for approximately 110 days of demand, consisting of 25 days of legally mandated reserves, 23 days of commercial reserves, 34 days of oil in transit, and 28 days of oil with confirmed procurement.
Regarding diesel production and sales as of 14 April 2026, diesel production reached 81.00 million liters, while sales were 56.32 million liters.
Comparing Thailand's retail oil prices with other ASEAN countries, Thailand's average gasoline price is 42.95 baht per liter. In Cambodia, the Philippines, Laos, Myanmar, and Singapore, prices range from 48.89 to 87.15 baht per liter. Diesel prices in Thailand are at 44.40 baht per liter, whereas in Malaysia, Cambodia, the Philippines, Laos, Myanmar, and Singapore, prices range from 50.01 to 117.88 baht per liter.
The estimated status of the fuel oil fund as of 16 April 2026 shows a deficit of 61.591 billion baht, with diesel subsidies amounting to approximately 188.28 million baht per day.
