
The Fuel Fund Management Committee (FFMC) announced a retail price reduction of diesel by 1.50 baht per liter and the gasoline-gasohol group by 0.50 baht per liter to ease public expenses, effective tomorrow, 17 April 2026.
On 16 April 2026, it was reported that during the Fuel Fund Management Committee meeting, a resolution was approved to adjust the fund rates to reduce retail prices for diesel and the gasoline-gasohol group.To reflect the weakening trend in global market prices, the Singapore oil market on 16 April 2026 closed with diesel at approximately 172 US dollars per barrel and gasoline at approximately 122 US dollars per barrel, down about 1 and 3 US dollars per barrel respectively compared to the previous day. The fund rates will take effect from 17 April 2026 as follows.
For the diesel group, the fund rate for regular diesel was reduced by 0.04 baht per liter to a compensation of 2.83 baht per liter, resulting in a retail price decrease of 1.50 baht per liter to 42.90 baht per liter.
Meanwhile, the fund rate for B20 diesel increased by 0.15 baht per liter to a compensation of 9.21 baht per liter, leading to a retail price decrease of 1.50 baht per liter to 35.90 baht per liter.
In the gasoline group andgasohol,fund contribution rates were also adjusted.
The fund rate for gasoline increased by 0.29 baht per liter to 11.41 baht per liter, resulting in a retail price reduction of 0.50 baht per liter to 52.04 baht per liter.
Gasohol95 saw its fund rate increase by 0.23 baht per liter to 4.03 baht per liter, lowering retail prices by 0.50 baht per liter to 42.45 baht per liter.Gasohol
91 had its fund rate increased by 0.23 baht per liter to 4.03 baht per liter, bringing retail prices down by 0.50 baht per liter to 42.08 baht per liter.GasoholE20 saw a fund rate decrease of 0.20 baht per liter to a compensation of 1.26 baht per liter, resulting in a retail price reduction of 0.50 baht per liter to 35.45 baht per liter.
GasoholE85 had its fund rate reduced by 0.28 baht per liter to 2.20 baht per liter, leading to a retail price decrease of 0.50 baht per liter to 31.39 baht per liter.. . .
The price reduction aims to fulfill the Ministry of Energy's goal of using the Fuel Fund as a key tool to maintain energy price stability. The fund's compensation expenses have been lowered from over 1.2 billion baht per day to just 113.83 million baht per day.This increase in fund liquidity will allow it to effectively manage future energy price crises. Besides fund management, the FFMC has also considered easing the public's cost of living by reducing expenses in line with favorable global market conditions.. . .
