Registration Opens for Transport Fuel Subsidy Payments via PromptPay-linked Accounts

The registration process has opened for transport operators affected by fuel price increases, covering buses, trucks, and taxis.Motorcycles.The fuel cost subsidy will be paid through accounts linked to PromptPay.

The Department of Land Transport (DLT) issued an announcement on measures to assist transport groups using fuel, aiming to alleviate the impact of rising fuel prices caused by the regional conflict in the Middle East. The aid covers regular route buses, non-regular buses, taxis, public motorcycles, and non-regular freight vehicles (goods transport trucks).

How to register for fuel cost assistance for public transport vehicles.


  • Applicants wishing to receive assistance can fill out their information through the “DLT Prompt Support” system on the website.https://tss.dlt.go.th/This service is available 24 hours a day as follows:

1. Visit the website.https://tss.dlt.go.th/

2. Click to register for assistance.Rights.

3. Log in using Thai ID.

4. Scan the QR code and give consent.

5. Select your type of transport business.

6. Prepare required documents such as a copy of the applicant’s ID card, a copy of the public driving license, taxi driver ID card (yellow card), a company registration certificate (not older than 90 days), a transport operation license, and a public motorcycle driving license, among others.

7. Then click to register.

8. Fill in personal information, payment account details, upload documents, etc.

9. Review all information and submit documents.

  • Alternatively, applicants may visit the DLT Building 3, 1st floor, or any provincial transport office nationwide. Registration is open from 16 April at 08:30 until 19 April 2026 at 16:30.

Receive subsidy payments through the PromptPay system.

Applicants must provide bank account information registered with PromptPay using their 13-digit national ID number (for individuals) or tax ID number (for legal entities), along with supporting documents such as a transport operation license, company registration certificate, and evidence of passenger transport contracts.

The assistance period and service distance measurement will be from 20 April to 31 May 2026, totaling 42 days.

How much subsidy can transport operators receive?

The subsidy eligibility period for transport operators using fuel starts on 20 April 2026 and ends on 31 May 2026, totaling 42 days.

Recipients must provide public transport services during this period. Payments will be made after the period ends and after the DLT verifies all documents and compliance with conditions. Eligible recipients are divided into three groups as follows.

Registration for fuel subsidy payments for public buses.

1. Route category 1 buses operating in Bangkok and provinces with connecting routes (minibuses and vans) receive a lump-sum payment of 5,040 baht per vehicle, provided they have logged at least 2,500 kilometers on the DLT GPS system during the 42-day assistance period.

2. Route category 4 buses in Bangkok (minibuses, vans, and songthaews) receive a lump-sum payment of 5,040 baht per vehicle, with a minimum distance of 2,500 kilometers recorded on the DLT GPS system or DLT GPS-NOTICE app during the assistance period.

3. Route category 2 buses (minibuses and vans) receive a distance-based subsidy of 2 baht per kilometer up to 700 baht per day per vehicle, based on DLT GPS data.

4. Route category 3 buses (minibuses and vans) receive 2 baht per kilometer up to 500 baht per day per vehicle, based on DLT GPS data.

5. Non-scheduled buses receive lump-sum payments: 5,000 baht per bus and 3,600 baht per minibus or van.

Registration for fuel subsidy payments for non-regular freight trucks.

For non-regular freight trucks eligible for fuel subsidies, the breakdown is as follows.

1. Trucks with 10 wheels or more receive a lump sum of 6,000 baht per vehicle, requiring at least 4,000 kilometers logged on the DLT GPS system during the 42-day period.

2. Trucks with fewer than 10 wheels receive a lump sum of 3,000 baht per vehicle, needing at least 2,500 kilometers recorded on the DLT GPS-NOTICE app during the assistance period.

Registration for fuel subsidy payments for hired vehicles (taxis and public motorcycles).

For hired vehicles (taxis and public motorcycles) eligible for fuel subsidies, the groups are as follows.

1. Taxis receive a lump-sum payment of 5,040 baht per vehicle. They must have the DLT GPS-NOTICE app installed and active throughout the hiring period, with a minimum of 2,500 kilometers logged during the 42-day assistance period.

2. Public motorcycles receive a lump-sum payment of 840 baht per vehicle.
