On 20 April 2026, reporters reported that following the Oil Fund Management Board's (OFMB) decision to approve lowering the Oil Fund contribution rates for both diesel and gasoline groups, retail diesel prices have been reduced to align with the downward trend of global oil prices. On 20 April, world oil market prices closed at about 155 USD per barrel for diesel and about 124 USD per barrel for gasoline, fluctuating compared to 16 April's close of approximately 172 and 122 USD per barrel respectively. The new Oil Fund rates take effect from 21 April 2026 as follows.
For diesel fuels, the compensation rate for diesel B7 was cut by 1.07 baht per liter, and for diesel B20 by 0.72 baht per liter, resulting in retail diesel prices dropping. Diesel B7 price decreased by 1.20 baht per liter to 41.70 baht per liter, and diesel B20 decreased by 1.20 baht per liter to 34.70 baht per liter.
Meanwhile, the gasoline and gasohol group also saw adjustments in their Oil Fund contribution rates. Retail prices at gas stations for this group.gasoholremain unchanged. Gasoline contributions were reduced by 0.56 baht per liter to 10.85 baht per liter. Gasoholgasohol95 and gasoholgasohol91 contributions were lowered by 0.52 baht per liter to 3.51 baht per liter. Most recently, "PTT Station"and Bangchak Petroleum Public Company Limited (BCP) have adjusted their retail fuel prices, reducing all diesel types by 1.20 baht per liter, while other fuel types remain unchanged, effective from 21 April at 5:00 AM.
