Progress on the “Khon La Khrueng Plus” project, which is part of the “Thai Chuay Thai” program, expects about 20-30 million eligible people to register and receive financial aid of no less than 2,000 baht each.
A reporter reported progress on the “Khon La Khrueng Plus” project, which is expected to evolve into the “Thai Chuay Thai” program. After today’s Cabinet meeting, Mr. Pradorn Prissanantakul, Minister attached to the Prime Minister's Office, explained that the Cabinet approved the budget strategy proposed by the Budget Bureau for fiscal year 2027.
Regarding the saved budget, the government will not keep it in the central budget but will first transfer it to aid programs under the broad umbrella called Thai Chuay Thai. This will cover 13.4 million State Welfare Cardholders and include projects such as affordable fertilizer, reduced interest for farmers, the Thong Fah affordable price program, and the Khon La Khrueng Plus program, targeting 20-30 million participants who will receive no less than the previous amount of 2,000 baht each.
Meanwhile, the Khon La Khrueng Plus project falls under the larger “Thai Chuay Thai” umbrella, which also includes Ministry of Commerce programs such as Thong Fah, Thong Kiew, and the mobile market vans soon to be launched.
