
Effective tomorrow, 24 April 2026, the Fuel Fund Management Board (FFMB) reduces compensation for "diesel fuel" to assist the public, resulting in a retail price drop of 1.50 baht per liter to 40.20 baht per liter.
On 23 April 2026, the Fuel Fund Management Board (FFMB) announced that the meeting approved lowering the price of fast diesel. This followed the National Energy Policy Council's decision on 23 April 2026 to reduce refinery prices for fast B7 and B20 diesel by 5 baht per liter, despite continued high volatility in global oil prices.
On 23 April 2026, global oil prices closed with diesel at approximately 171 USD per barrel, while gasoline closed around 131 USD per barrel, up from 155 and 124 USD per barrel respectively on 20 April 2026. The new Fuel Fund rates will take effect from 24 April 2026 as follows.
Within the diesel category, the compensation for standard fast diesel decreases by 0.09 baht per liter to 2.23 baht per liter, leading to a retail price reduction of 1.50 baht per liter to 40.20 baht per liter. For fast B20 diesel, compensation drops by 0.29 baht per liter to 8.68 baht per liter, also resulting in a 1.50 baht per liter retail price reduction to 33.20 baht per liter.
For the gasoline andgasohol categories,there is no retail price adjustment. Instead, the Fuel Fund reduces collection fees and increases compensation as follows.
Gasoline collection fees decrease by 0.63 baht per liter to 9.79 baht per liter.

GasoholE85 collection fees decrease by 0.15 baht per liter to 1.79 baht per liter.Regarding the Fuel Fund's financial status, the daily subsidy expenditure has been reduced from over 1.2 billion baht to 107.41 million baht, which will improve the fund's liquidity and its capacity to effectively manage future energy price crises.
