Latest update "Thai Chai Thai Plus" Preparing to open registration through the "Pao Tang" app, similar to "Khon La Khrueng Plus," within May 2026. Check conditions, eligibility criteria for participants, and how to use the benefits.
The latest update on the "Khon La Khrueng Plus" or "Thai Chai Thai Plus" project: Today, 24 Apr 2026, Mr. Akniti Nititanprapas, Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister, spoke about the progress of the Thai Chai Thai Plus project. He stated that registration is planned to begin in May and use to start in June, aligning with the Prime Minister’s policy to provide assistance. The policy may follow a 60:40 ratio, with the government covering 60% and citizens 40%, also assisting vulnerable groups who are exempt from contributing, while the general middle class can participate under the 60:40 scheme.
Mr. Akniti further explained that this will be a living cost relief through the Pao Tang application, as before, with everything remaining the same. When asked if the amount would be 1,000 baht per month, he said that was the initial plan.
Meanwhile, Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, who was present, said this is no longer "Khon La Khrueng" and that payments will be distributed gradually over four months.
Previously, Mr. Pradorn Prissanananthakul, Minister attached to the Prime Minister’s Office, revealed that the "Khon La Khrueng Plus" or "Thai Chai Thai Plus" round will adjust the payment ratio from 50:50 (government 50%, people 50%) to 60:40 (government 60%, people 40%).
