State Welfare Card Benefits for May 2026: What Entitlements Are Included?

"Comptroller General's Department" updates "State Welfare" or "State Welfare Card" / "Poor People's Card" In May 2026, eligible individuals can use their smart ID cards to access benefits. Here is a clear breakdown of what they will receive.

Mr. Thanachok Rungthipannon, Deputy Director-General of the Comptroller General's Department and spokesperson, revealed that the 2022 State Welfare Registration Project allows eligible individuals to use their smart ID cards. In May 2026, they will receive the following benefits:

On 1 May 2026, beneficiaries will receive credit for purchasing consumer goods and transportation (cannot be withdrawn as cash or carried over to the next month), including:

• A 300 baht monthly purchase credit per person
• A 100 baht cost-of-living relief via the State Welfare Card for one month, from 13 April 2026 to 12 May 2026
• An 80 baht cooking gas purchase discount per person every three months (April to June 2026)
• A 750 baht monthly transportation credit per person for public transport systems including the Bus Terminal, trains, BMTA buses, skytrains, and participating private buses

On 20 May 2026,

• an additional 200 baht monthly disability allowance will be provided

This is for eligible disabled persons holding disability ID cards who currently receive an 800 baht monthly disability allowance (funds are transferred to a bank account linked to their 13-digit national ID via PromptPay, or to the bank account of the beneficiary or authorized recipient receiving the 800 baht allowance).
