Warning: 3rd Storm Advisory for Summer Storms - Check Provinces Preparing for Heavy Rain April 29 - May 1, 2026

The Meteorological Department issued the 3rd summer storm advisory, warning of heavy rain from April 29 to May 1, 2026. Check which provinces are expected to be affected.

On April 28, 2026, the Meteorological Department’s website announced the 3rd advisory regarding summer storms in upper Thailand, effective from April 29 to May 1, 2026.

It stated that from April 29 to May 1, 2026, upper Thailand will experience summer storms characterized by thunderstorms, strong gusty winds, hail in some areas, and heavy rain in places, with possible lightning in certain locations. The storms will first impact the North, Northeast, and East regions, followed later by the Central region, including Bangkok and its vicinity. This is due to a high-pressure area or cold air mass from China extending over the Northeast and South China Sea, while upper Thailand remains hot to very hot.

Residents in these areas are advised to be cautious of the dangers from summer storms by avoiding open spaces, staying away from large trees, unstable structures, and weak billboards. Farmers should reinforce fruit trees and prepare to protect crops and livestock from potential damage. Additionally, people should take care of their health during these weather changes.

The public is urged to follow announcements from the Meteorological Department and can track information on the department’s website.http://www.tmd.go.thOr call 0-2399-4012-13 and 1182, available 24 hours.

Check provinces expected to be affected by "thunderstorms and strong gusty winds."
