
Update on the "Half-Half Plus" project, also called "Thai Chua Thai Plus": registration is set for May this year, with recipients receiving 1,000 baht per month for four months, totaling 4,000 baht. Spending begins through the "Paotang" app on 1 June 2026 GMT+7.
On 29 April 2026 GMT+7, reporters updated on the "Half-Half Plus" project, which will be renamed "Thai Chua Thai Plus." Mr. Pradorn Prissanantakul, Minister attached to the Prime Minister's Office, revealed that the matter will be discussed at the Economic Cabinet meeting on 4 May. The detailed plan for "Half-Half Plus" will be finalized because the target is for the program to start on 1 June, allowing about one month for registration.
For the Thai Chua Thai Plus project, registration is expected to open in May 2026 through the "Paotang" application. Previously, the eligibility criteria for registration were as follows.
1. Must be a Thai national.
2. Must be at least 16 years old on the registration date.
3. Must possess a national ID card.
4. Must not have had rights suspended or been required to return funds in government projects such as Half-Half Phase 1 through Phase 5.
Under the "Thai Chua Thai Plus" program, eligible participants will receive 4,000 baht in total, disbursed as 1,000 baht per month for four months. Usage is expected to begin from June to September 2026. The daily spending limit is 100 baht, with the government covering 60% and users paying 40%. Unused amounts can be carried over to the next day.
