The Fuel Fund Management Committee (FFMC) decided to cut retail prices of all fuel types by 0.85 baht per liter, effective 8 May 2026, following a decline in global oil prices amid easing concerns over the US-Iran conflict.
On 7 May 2026, the Fuel Fund Management Committee approved a 0.85 baht per liter retail price cut across all fuel types to reflect a weakening global market. On 7 May 2026, global diesel prices closed at about 149 US dollars per barrel, and gasoline at about 128 US dollars per barrel, down from 179 and 138 US dollars per barrel respectively on 30 April 2026.
