
The Student Loan Fund (SLF) will open the Pre-Approve loan application system for new borrowers through its website starting 16 May. They also announced the documents required to prepare.

Existing borrowers advancing in their current institution can confirm loan disbursement via DSL from 16 May to 31 August 2026.
The SLF is ready to open the Pre-Approve system to screen new student borrowers who meet specified criteria, especially those holding state welfare cards, recipients of the Equitable Education Fund (EEF), or those financially disadvantaged with family income not exceeding 360,000 baht per year, and studying in fields essential for national development or prioritized by the fund, aiming to better target disadvantaged groups. Secondary and vocational students who wish to borrow can access the Pre-Approve system from 16 May to 13 June 2026, while higher education students can use it from 1 June to 13 July 2026. via the websitewww.studentloan.or.th
New borrowers must be students who have never borrowed from the fund before or those who have previously borrowed but are changing education levels or institutions, and should prepare to access the Pre-Approve system as follows.
1. New student borrowers and their parents, guardians, or spouses must download the ThaID application to verify their identity and government applications to attach summary credit bureau loan account documents in the system. If parents, guardians, or spouses cannot verify their identity via ThaID, they may submit a consent letter for accessing and disclosing personal data in the system.
2. New student borrowers should prepare documents to attach in the system including
- If the borrower is not regularly employed, for example, doing part-time work, attach part-time work documents to confirm they are not regularly employed.
- If the borrower previously had regular employment and resigned, attach resignation documents to confirm the employment has ended.
- Summary credit bureau loan account documents from government applications.
3. Parents, guardians, or spouses should prepare documents to attach in the system including
- For those with regular income and proof, or those without regular income but with proof, submit salary slips or income certificates signed by authorized personnel from the employer, or personal income tax documents such as form PND 90 for additional income like freelance, online sales, rental, dividends, or business, or PND 91 for employment income like salary, wages, bonuses.
- For those without regular income or no income and no proof, download the family's income certification form (SLF Form 102, revised for academic year 2026) and a certified copy of the ID card, completed and signed by the income certifier.
