The Ministry of Finance is preparing to open new registrations for holders of the "State Welfare Card" or "Poor Card" because the data for 13.2 million cardholders has not been updated for a long time. Some individuals may now have increased income. To assist low-income people not yet in the system, AI will be used to help screen data.
Registration will open simultaneously for both existing and new cardholders on 25 May 2026.

The "Thai Chua Thai Plus" program will provide financial assistance to State Welfare Cardholders over four months, divided into two phases as follows:
State Welfare Cardholders will receive aid under the "Thai Chua Thai Plus" program, starting from 1 June to 30 September 2026. Each month's funds must be fully used within that month and cannot be carried over. Spending is allowed at participating stores nationwide.
