Cabinet Approves Thai Chua Thai Plus Program: Clear Summary of 4,000 Baht Aid Eligibility

The Cabinet has given the green light to the project "Thai Chua Thai Plus" A clear summary of the conditions to receive 4,000 baht and who qualifies

On 19 May 2026, Mr. Akniti Nitithanprapas, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, announced that after the Cabinet meeting, the "Thai Chua Thai Plus: Overcoming the Crisis Together" project was approved. The aim is to help citizens with living costs to get through the cost-of-living crisis together.

The "Thai Chua Thai Plus" project will benefit over 43 million people, divided into 13.18 million State Welfare Card holders and 30 million general public without the State Welfare Card.

Conditions for the "State Welfare Card Group" eligibility

• 13.18 million people eligible
• Financial aid of 1,000 baht per month to reduce household expenses
• Eligible immediately without registration
• Can purchase consumer goods from Blue Flag stores
• Benefit usage period is from 1 June 2026 to 30 September 2026

Conditions for the "General Public Group" eligibility

• 30 million people eligible
• 60/40 benefit totaling 1,000 baht per month for 4 months
• Benefits accessible only through the Paotang application
• Registration via the Paotang app from 25-29 May 2026
• Benefit usage period from 1 June 2026 to 30 September 2026, daily from 06:00 to 23:00

Registration qualifications for "Thai Chua Thai Plus" general public group

• Must be 18 years or older on the registration date
• Must have a Thai national ID card
• Must not hold a State Welfare Card according to the Ministry of Finance database as of 18 May 2026
• Must not be suspended or required to repay funds under the Co-Payment Phase 1-5 and Co-Payment Plus programs

The program's benefit usage period starts from 1 June to 30 September 2026, from 06:00 to 23:00 daily.
