The latest update on the "Thai Chua Thai Plus" program follows the Cabinet's approval focusing on assisting vulnerable groups through the state welfare card mechanism and easing public expenses with a 60/40 co-payment scheme. It also aims to support small vendors to continue their businesses, maintaining necessary economic stability. Details are as follows.

1. State Welfare Card Program for 2026 to support vulnerable groups.

  • Approximately 13.18 million cardholders.
  • Will receive an additional 700 baht per person monthly, on top of the existing 300 baht per person monthly.
  • Totaling 1,000 baht per month for 4 months.
  • From June to September 2026 (unused funds in any month will not carry over to the next).

2. "Thai Chua Thai Plus (60/40)" program.

The government subsidizes co-payment for food, drinks, goods, and specified services for participants to spend at participating merchants. The program runs from 25 May to 30 September 2026, with details as follows.

Up to 30 million people eligible, meeting the following criteria.

1. Must be a Thai national.

2. At least 18 years old on the registration date.

3. Must hold a national ID card.

5. Must not be a state welfare cardholder according to the Ministry of Finance database as of 18 May 2026.

When is registration for "Thai Chua Thai Plus (60/40)"?

The allocated fund is 1,000 baht per month for 4 months, accessed only through the "Pao Tang" app, with these timelines.

  • Register via "Pao Tang" app from 25-29 May 2026.
  • Use period from 1 June to 30 September 2026, between 6:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m.

Spending conditions for "Thai Chua Thai Plus (60/40)".

  • The government subsidizes 60% of expenses on food, drinks, goods, and specified services.
  • Up to 200 baht per person per day, and no more than 1,000 baht per person per month.
  • From June through September 2026 (4 months).
  • Unused monthly funds will not carry over to the next month.
  • Use the "Pao Tang" app to spend on food, drinks, goods, and specified services at participating stores.
  • Or purchase food and drinks from participating stores via approved Food Delivery platforms authorized under the program.
