After the "Cabinet" approved the project "Thai Help Thai Plus" to reduce the impact of the energy crisis situation which has affected people in all occupations and entrepreneurs suddenly, severely, with high uncertainty and likely to be prolonged.

Regarding the project "Thai Help Thai Plus" it focuses on assisting and alleviating the impact on vulnerable groups through the State Welfare Card mechanism and easing living expenses and supporting consumer purchasing power, as well as helping small vendors to continue their businesses to maintain the country's economic stability as an urgent necessity.

"Thai Help Thai Plus": Who is eligible?

  • State Welfare Card holders in 2026

Those holding the welfare card or State Welfare Card, approximately 13.18 million people, will receive an additional 700 baht per person per month on top of the existing 300 baht per person per month, totaling 1,000 baht per month for a period of 4 months from June to September 2026. (If there is remaining balance in any month, it will not be carried over to the next month.)

  • General public 60/40 group

The public can register to use the Thai Help Thai Plus (60/40) program from 1 June to 30 September 2026 (06:00 - 23:00). They can purchase food, beverages, goods, and services at participating stores under the program. The government supports 60% of the payment, up to 200 baht per person per day, and not exceeding 1,000 baht per person per month from June to September 2026, for 4 months. If there is remaining balance in any month, it will not roll over to the next month.

Eligibility criteria for registering in Thai Help Thai Plus, general public 60/40 group

1. Must be a Thai national.

2. Must be at least 18 years old on the registration date.

3. Must have a national ID card.

4. Must not have been suspended or required to repay funds from previous 'Half-Half' programs, including (1) Half-Half program, (2) Half-Half Phase 2, (3) Half-Half Phase 3, (4) Half-Half Phase 4, (5) Half-Half Phase 5, and (6) Half-Half Plus program.

5. Must not be a State Welfare Card holder according to the Ministry of Finance database as of 18 May 2026.

Registration channels for "Thai Help Thai Plus"

  • Those holding welfare cards or State Welfare Cards: no need to register for Thai Help Thai Plus.
  • General public 60/40 group: register via the Paotang app from 25 to 29 May 2026, 06:00 - 22:00.

Steps to register for Thai Help Thai Plus benefits

1. Open the Paotang app and tap the Thai Help Thai Plus project icon (on the Paotang home screen).

2. Read the project details and conditions, then tap the Register button.

3. A message will confirm receipt of the benefit and the start date to use the project benefit. Tap OK.

1. Open the Paotang app and select the Thai Help Thai Plus project icon.

2. The project main page will display available benefits.

Conditions for using the Thai Help Thai Plus (60/40) benefits

  • Before first use, beneficiaries must check their remaining balance and terms of use.
  • For buying and selling goods or receiving and providing services, both buyer and seller must conduct face-to-face transactions and scan QR codes to pay for goods or services. Transactions cannot be done online or through intermediaries by any method.
  • Benefits can be used daily from 06:00 to 23:00.
  • Participants are prohibited from any actions that cause misunderstandings or obstruct government measures or projects.
