Rematch Set After Explosive Under 30-Second Bout: Boonmee Wins by KO Over Snail Luckped

In an explosive bout lasting less than 30 seconds, Boonmee sixnine ended the fight with a knockout over Snail Luckped at the Wankanchai event. Promoter 'Sia Boat' is preparing a second rematch, adding an extra 50,000 baht each after controversy over a leg trip that caused a head impact on the floor.

On 20 May 2026, reports stated that at 21:00 on 19 May 2026, at the Rangsit International Boxing Stadium, the social media world was abuzz overnight over the highly anticipated fight in the "Wankanchai by Petchyindee" event, featuring a face-off between "Boonmee sixnine" (Boonmee Cannabis) and "Snail Luckped" The two had a prior conflict during the Songkran Water Festival in Chom Bueng, Ratchaburi, which they tried to resolve on the TV program "Hon Krasae," leading to this fierce ring battle intended to settle matters like gentlemen.

Before the fight started, Khun Noom-Kanchai Kamnerdploy revealed the background of organizing this match, saying the response exceeded expectations. Initially, during the "Hon Krasae" program, Snail's (Sniper's) mother was uncomfortable with her son fighting at the venue arranged by Boonmee's side and asked for help finding a solution. "The image of Sia Boat immediately came to mind as the only person who could help, so I called him during the program without prior discussion. Sia Boat immediately agreed, saying, 'Sure, come on, I'll handle it,'" Kanchai said.

When asked if he was secretly rooting for either fighter, Kanchai said he supported both and praised Snail's improved attitude and acceptance of past mistakes after training in boxing. "At least this is a test for men, where instead of fighting on the street or attacking in groups, they settle things through sport under Muay Thai rules. I think that's a good thing."

However, as the first round began, the fight ended abruptly before the fans could blink. Boonmee aggressively attacked, leading to a clinch that caused Snail to lose balance and fall, hitting his head hard on the ring floor. Unable to continue, the referee stopped the fight and declared Boonmee the winner by knockout in under 30 seconds.

After the fight, Snail and his team remained unsettled about the fall, believing they were tripped. Sia Boat, the promoter, along with Kanchai and both fighters, reviewed the footage and admitted that the slow-motion replay showed a foul.

Sia Boat said, "Watching the slow-motion, Boonmee did trip him, which is a foul under Muay Thai rules. But since the referee has made the decision, it's final. The referee had to decide quickly because the situation happened so fast. You can't blame the referee; it was really that quick."

Meanwhile, Boonmee explained the incident: "I wanted to kick. It was instinctive and in the flow of the fight—I didn't intend to trip him, just aimed to kick."

At the same time, Snail reported his injury: "I hit my head on the floor. I feel dizzy and hurt now, but I accept the decision."

Because the first fight ended quickly and left unresolved issues, Sia Boat from Petchyindee announced an immediate rematch, "Wankanchai Fight EP.2," scheduled for Tuesday, 23 June 2026, allowing a 30-day recovery period as per the Sports Authority of Thailand's rules for the injured fighter to recuperate.

Additionally, Sia Boat announced an increase in the purse by 50,000 baht each for the next fight, which will follow standard Muay Thai rules (3 rounds). He emphasized organizing a referee team that is quicker and more experienced with non-professional matches to prevent a repeat of the previous incident. This social media sensation fight promises an exciting second chapter to follow.
