How to download and verify identity on the app "Paotang" for citizens who have never registered, to prepare before registering for "Thai Chua Thai Plus"


The project "Thai Chua Thai Plus" Together overcoming the crisis aims to assist people affected by the energy crisis caused by conflicts in the Middle East region by easing their expenses and maintaining their purchasing power.

Regarding Thai Chua Thai Plus it will help and alleviate impacts for over 43 million people, divided into vulnerable groups through the State Welfare Card (Poor People's Card) mechanism with 13.18 million people, and the general public group (without the State Welfare Card) with about 30 million rights.

Citizens in the general group can register for the "Thai Chua Thai Plus (60/40)" program rights via the Paotang app. Registration through the app is open from 25 to 29 May 2026, from 06:00 to 22:00.

Eligibility criteria for registering for Thai Chua Thai Plus (60/40)

1. Must be a Thai national

2. Must be at least 18 years old on the registration day

3. Must have an identity card

4. Must not be suspended or required to refund money by the Fiscal Policy Office under any state projects including: (1) Khon La Khrueng phases 1 to 5 and (6) Khon La Khrueng Plus.

5. Must not hold a State Welfare Card according to the Ministry of Finance database as of 18 May 2026.

How to download the Paotang app

Steps to download and install

1. Open the App Store or Google Play or Play Store app

2. Type to search "Paotang" in the search bar

3. Select GET or "Install"

Register the Paotang app for citizens who have never registered

1. Open the "Paotang" app

2. Steps to register for Paotang

  • Press Next after reading the instructions for registering on the Paotang app.
  • Turn off Wi-Fi because registration cannot be done using Wi-Fi.

3. Personal data management

  • Press consent and confirm to accept the terms (KYC Consent) for personal data management.

4. Request for consent

  • Press consent. Paotang requests permission to verify the phone number.

5. Identity card number and mobile number information

  • Enter your identity card number and current mobile phone number.

6. Verify mobile number

  • Wait to receive and enter the OTP code sent to the mobile number you provided.

7. Identity card information

  • Enter your identity card details or press the tab to identify information using the ThaID app.

8. Prepare for facial scan

  • Press to scan your face.

9. Face scan

  • Move your face within the circle and follow the displayed instructions.

10. Set PIN code

  • Enter numbers to set a PIN code to access Paotang.

11. Confirm PIN code

  • Re-enter the PIN code to confirm.

12. Terms and conditions for using Paotang

  • Tick to accept the service terms (T&Cs Consent) and press OK.

13. Enter PIN code

  • Enter your PIN again to access the Paotang app.

14. Enable biometric authentication

  • You can skip this step to enter Paotang or enable face or fingerprint scanning now.

  • You can give consent now or choose to consent later. If later, the screen will reappear within 7 days after choosing.

Conditions for using rights under the Thai Chua Thai Plus (60/40) project

  • Before first use, beneficiaries must check their remaining rights and conditions for use.
  • For buying and selling goods/services, both buyers and sellers must conduct face-to-face transactions and scan QR codes to pay for goods/services. Transactions via online channels or intermediaries by any method are not allowed.
  • Rights can be used daily from 06:00 to 23:00.
  • Participants must not take any action that causes misunderstanding or obstructs the operation of any government measures or projects.
