Thai Help Thai Plus 60/40 Project: Are People Without Smartphones Eligible?

Prepare in advance before registering for Thai Help Thai Plus. Are people without smartphones eligible, and what must they do to receive the benefits?

Progress update The "Thai Help Thai Plus 60/40" project is designed to alleviate citizens' living costs with a budget of 175.7 billion baht from the 400 billion baht loan decree. "Aekniti Nitithanprapas," Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister, project owner, revealed that 43 million people are eligible, including 13.18 million state welfare cardholders and 30 million general public registrants for the 60/40 benefits.

Each person will receive 1,000 baht per month for 4 months, totaling 4,000 baht from 1 June to 30 September 2026. Welfare cardholders do not need to re-register, but the general public must register through Krungthai Bank’s Paotang app to receive the 60/40 benefits.



Regarding the registration timeline for the Thai Help Thai Plus project,


the general public can register for the "Thai Help Thai Plus (60/40)" benefits via the Paotang app from 25 to 29 May 2026, between 06:00 and 22:00 hrs.


Eligibility criteria for Thai Help Thai Plus (60/40) registration



1. Must be a Thai national.
2. Must be at least 18 years old on the registration day.
3. Must possess a national ID card.
4. Must not be suspended or required to repay funds by the NESDC in state projects, including: (1) Co-payment scheme phase 1, (2) phase 2, (3) phase 3, (4) phase 4, (5) phase 5, and (6) Co-payment Plus scheme.
5. Must not hold a state welfare card according to the Ministry of Finance's database as of 18 May 2026.


Registration steps for the Thai Help Thai Plus (60/40) project



Registration opens from 25 to 29 May 2026 (06:00 - 22:00 hrs) until 30 million spots are filled or the deadline on 29 May 2026, whichever comes first.

  • Those who previously used the Co-payment Plus scheme must confirm their eligibility to join Thai Help Thai Plus (60/40) via the Paotang app.
        
  • Those new to the Co-payment Plus scheme must register through the Paotang app. After registration, they will receive confirmation or denial of eligibility via the Paotang app or SMS.

    To prevent misuse of identity cards, recipients must verify their identity as specified by the Thai Help Thai Plus (60/40) project, by presenting their ID card at Krungthai Bank branches or ATMs with the Confirm ID symbol, unless they have already verified their ID with other state projects or through Krungthai Bank channels.


    Are people without smartphones eligible for Thai Help Thai Plus (60/40)?


What must people without smartphones do to receive the benefits? Looking back at the "Co-payment Plus" phase, it was required to register via the Paotang app to receive benefits, including identity verification and facial scanning through the app. Therefore, those without smartphones could not participate.


The Paotang app requires smartphones to run Android version 10.0 or higher, and iOS version 15.0 or higher, to enhance transaction security.
