MRT Blue Line Revises Fare Rates to 17-44 Baht Effective 3 Jul 2026

The Royal Gazette has announced a fare adjustment for the MRT Blue Line, setting the fare range at 17 to 44 baht, down from the previous 17 to 45 baht. Senior citizens will pay half the fare, while children and persons with disabilities can ride free.


27 May 2026 GMT+7The Royal GazetteAnnouncement of the Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand regulations regarding fare rates, methods of fare collection, and categories of persons exempted from paying fares on the Chaloem Ratchamongkhon MRT Line for the year 2026, with the main points as follows:

Fare rates on the Chaloem Ratchamongkhon MRT Line have been adjusted.

  • The fare rate is set at 17 to 44 baht (for trips covering 12 stations or more, the fare will be 44 baht), reduced from the previous range of 17 to 45 baht.
  • For senior citizens, the fare is half the standard fare. If the half fare results in a fraction of a baht, the amount will be rounded up to the nearest whole baht.
  • Fares are waived for children not exceeding 120 centimeters in height and for persons with disabilities, who must present an official government-issued disability identification card before using the service.

These regulations will take effect from 3 July 2026 onward.
